Trolley Line Labradors

Wow. Going home already. Has it really been 8 weeks (9 weeks now) since our seemingly endless night in the animal ER clinic, waiting for Lexi to be taken for in for C-section, waiting for the surgery results, praying for at least a few living puppies and a full recovery for Lexi? Late that night, half-asleep we heard the report that Lexi was in recovery and that, miraculously, ALL 8 perfect little puppies were alive and breathing! I was amazed and so blessed out. God is good. And here we are! Sixty-five days post-whelp and these rambunctious, affectionate little babies are going home to new families, and in a few cases, their half-siblings from previous litters. It's been such a party! A huge thank you and congratulations to each of our 2020 puppy adopters! You have all been so fun and easy to work with and I appreciate it. Love on that pup for us! Six weeks down already and we only have 16 more days to enjoy these fur babies before sending them off to their new homes! We invited our customers for visits the other day and it was so very fun getting to meet some of our new customers and catch up with some from several years ago who are back for one last pup from our A'Lexus Raven! One of the yellow girls is even going to be called "Lexi" after her mother.  Raising this litter has gone incredibly fast. We are absolutely thrilled and so grateful for the wonderful families we have gotten the pleasure of meeting, and we know that all of our pups will be very well loved.  Until then, we are soaking up all the rambunctious energy, sweet snuggles, and wiggling happiness that these babies are made of. The little labbies are 4 weeks old and my are they ever lovable! 😍 This is such a fun age. They are beginning to experience new things like prickly grass and slippery floors. And just today, a little bit of moistened puppy chow. I declare, you will never have to force a healthy Labrador, even a 4-week-old pup, to eat food! After  the first taste test, they thought they couldn't gobble fast enough. Yeah we're going to be using individual dishes from now on! They still have mom too, though, and will for a few weeks yet. This evening we took them out in the yard to play. They didn't venture very far, and they plopped down to sleep after about 10 minutes, but we had fun. The grass was, interesting... 😏 They snuffled, snorted, and of course, nibbled on it! I snapped a few quick individual pictures. Daniel + Lexi's miracle litter is one week old already! They have been getting so much love from the whole family already. Lexi is recovering well and the babies are getting stronger and putting on the ounces. Their average weight currently is 21 ounces. They are so soft and fluffy, and absolutely perfect for snuggling! We are soaking up these lovely, peaceful days of newborn puppy feels. They don't stay this small and angelic for long! That said, we are also looking forward to many energetic summer evening romps in the meadow and swims in the creek, all in time.  Until then, we are working at coming up with temporary names for the little guys.
