Spring 2019 Litter: 5 Weeks Old

Image
Five weeks old already! Spring is definitely on the way, but while we wait for the green to hit outside, why not have a quick photoshoot in the bedroom? These cuties are trying all sorts of new things. The favorite "new thing" by far? Food. Definitely food. The boys are now eating moist kibble, BLUE Buffalo of course, twice a day. They are going their first night without mom tonight, but they still need her sometimes. They experienced water for the first time a few days ago... They proceeded to stuff their faces into the "empty" dish, and then sputtered and snorted into the cold wet stuff!   Playtimes have become longer, more frequent, and rather rambunctious.  😉 Exploring, nose to the ground, tasting anything, chasing toys... they are a lot of fun, but need a close eye! Good thing they have a couple little boys who are more than willing to play with them. They are doing well! Also, they got new "big puppy" collars, so some color...

Spring 2019 Litter: 3 Weeks Old

The puppies are 3 weeks old already! They are getting so big (maybe even a tad pudgy! 😊) and becoming more sociable every day. About a week ago they opened their eyes. In the days following, they started trying out their legs, mustering tiny barks and growls, and responding to noises and human voices. Their vision has improved, and they are up on all fours toddling around. Sometimes they wag their little tails when you pet them or talk to them! 😍    They still get tired easily and sleep a good bit, and of course, they eat. A lot. But hey, you've gotta eat to grow big and strong if you're ever going to tussle with all your brothers! This week I took a few individual snapshots so you can meet the clan. Yes, most of them were pretty sleepy. 😉 Jackson, red collar. Murphy, orange collar. Clark, green collar. Max, royal blue collar. Charlie, aqua collar. Annddd, a sweet puppy yawn from Clark yet...

Spring 2019 Litter: 1 Week Old

Image
The boys are 1 week old! Lexi gave birth to five beautiful little boys on February 19, two yellow boys and three black ones. Mom is doing a great job taking care of them, and these babies are really putting on the ounces. Their days right now consist of eating, sleeping, snacking, and napping... What a life!    The puppies have their colored collars on now so we can keep track of their weight, but the names are still being tossed around! While we're deciding, scroll down to see a few snapshots of these fur babies. The black pups: aqua, green, + red. The yellow boys: blue and orange. The yellow puppies' noses and paw pads have darkened since birth. The whole clan! Left to right: aqua, blue, green, orange, and red. Questions? Comments? Leave them below!
