Winter 2022 Litter: 5 Weeks Old

Image
And just like that, here we are: the winter litter will be 5 weeks old tomorrow. Tails are wagging exuberantly, they respond to and adore people, and puppy chow will now be on the menu. They spend a great deal of time being cuddled and played with in the living room. Floors, music, and all kinds of textures and toys are begging to be explored, and they are becoming quite confident!  Allow us to introduce Jada + Gabe's endearing pack! Their personalities are just beginning to shine, and are still developing, but here's our best three-word description of how we know each of them now. :) DOUGLAS // royal blue collar (claimed) observant, amiable, relaxed NOEL // tan collar intelligent, amiable, bouncy MAX // orange collar (claimed) playful, observant, chill GINGER // purple collar confident, sociable, energetic NICHOLAS // red collar expressive, confident, energetic REX // black collar (claimed) gentle, snuggly, friendly HOLLY // green collar bright, pleasant, expressive HUNTER ...

Winter 2022 Litter: They're Here!

Image
Our girl Jada Claire gave birth to a beautiful litter of nine in the earliest hours of November 9, 2022. Jada handled her first whelping like the excellent mama she is proving herself to be. She is back to her bouncy, people-adoring self! We are so grateful for the smooth delivery. Now, almost a week later, the puppies are putting on weight, and little contented sighs and groans come from inside the whelping box. They are so loved already! Jada and Gabe’s litter consists of 4 females (2 black, 2 yellow) and 5 males (4 black, 1 yellow) Meet Gabriel, the father of this litter. He is a stunning English black lab, with a handsome blocky head and powerful build. My encounters with Gabe were full of tail-wagging and happy panting; he has a very friendly, outgoing disposition! Gabe is OFA cleared on hips and elbows and also has health clearances with CNM, CAER, and more. Introducing: Jada Claire

Hey everyone, it's time you met a special little pup and the newest addition to our pack. Meet our little wiggling bundle of spunk! This is Jada Claire of Trolley Line!  This post is long overdue, I know. Jada Claire is a puppy from Daniel and Lexi's miracle litter born at the beginning of June 2020. You may remember that this litter was Lexi's final one due to unexpected birthing complications and an emergency surgery. We were thrilled that there were several girls in this litter so we were able to keep one Lexi's last daughters! So fun.  (For the full re-cap on that story, see our previous post entitled: " Summer 2020 Litter: They're Here! ")  Back at the first week of August, when the rest of Jada's littermates went home, I had grabbed a few pictures with her. That was when she was 9 weeks old. Now she's almost 16 weeks old! First, I'm sharing her going-home pictures; or staying-home pictures, rather! Look at her cute fluffy baby face... ...

Summer 2020 Litter: Going Home!

Image
Wow. Going home already. Has it really been 8 weeks (9 weeks now) since our seemingly endless night in the animal ER clinic, waiting for Lexi to be taken for in for C-section, waiting for the surgery results, praying for at least a few living puppies and a full recovery for Lexi? Late that night, half-asleep we heard the report that Lexi was in recovery and that, miraculously, ALL 8 perfect little puppies were alive and breathing! I was amazed and so blessed out. God is good. And here we are! Sixty-five days post-whelp and these rambunctious, affectionate little babies are going home to new families, and in a few cases, their half-siblings from previous litters. It's been such a party! A huge thank you and congratulations to each of our 2020 puppy adopters! You have all been so fun and easy to work with and I appreciate it. Love on that pup for us! Here are the "going home" snapshots. I have noted the puppy's new name, with his "old" name and collar in paren...
